THE SENSE OF ART
Helanie-Art /Alaf aims to promote Art for Art's sake and moves towards a world where Art finds its place, true, authentic… Today, we expect the Artist to become meaningful again. Sense of values, sense of Sharing, sense of the Human, sense of Exchange, sense of Emotion. By the maieutics of each Artist, Art is the only means of communication that comes from the depths of his intimate. The African, the Amerindian of America, the Aborigine of Australia, the Inuit of Canada, make Art in their own way and yet through these visions we know and we understand each other. Art is a symbolic language and the characteristic of the symbol is to involve us and when we are involved we cannot explain anything. One can only feel, be moved, be disturbed, because in a few signs the Artist without knowing you has understood you better than anyone and by contemplating a work one sees what lives in the soul of the Artist. Art should not be just a simple fabrication of an image, a work must be able to pass the time, that's why a painting or a sculpture is anything but an image. ALAF also aims to promote culture, peace with the rapprochement of peoples through the different cultural expressions. Beyond the different ethnicities, Art remains the best unifying factor.
